The NEW Zoo Blog is back!

by NEW Zoo Education Dept

After an extended hiatus, we have decided to bring back the NEW Zoo Blog!

There is just too much going on here at the NEW Zoo to justify not sharing our news with you.  So, at least once a week, we will be posting an article or story with a glimpse into what life is like at the Zoo, as well as providing pictures and information on various activities taking place here.  Topics for our Blog will include everything from “A Day in the Life of An Animal” to Keeper Spotlights and even Q&A sessions!  If there is anything you would like to see or learn more about, let us know and we will include it in a post!  Email us at with your questions or comments.

These blogs will be written by our Education Department Interns, and edited by our Education Coordinator.  Our Interns work hard all year long, working with program animals, assisting with education classes, tours, and other programs here at the zoo.  Even during the winter time, we offer free Discovery Carts for zoo guests, which include opportunities for guests to get some hands-on experience with educational items, and sometimes even live animals.

So stay tuned for stories, behind –the-scenes glimpses, and information on some of your favorite animals!
